Headlands – Grand Design Architect

Project Description

BCCL were invited by the main contractor of Headlands to undertake the complex carpentry works for a private clients new home. The leaf roof organises open plan living spaces and rests above a discreet bedroom wing. The house is set in a stunning Cotswold location and was a pleasure for us to have been part of. BCCL were commissioned to build the Timber roof which was planned and delivered via a 3D viewer to understand the complex drawings. The tolerance on the build was within a mm (0+1mm). This project was one we at BCCL were very proud of and we feel articulates our years of experience and knowledge.

Challenges

The major challenges of this project was that the first drawings were in 2D but when a 3D viewer was sourced this allowed us to work much better in conjunction with the drawings.

With the design being very complex and not a traditional build it took a lot of interpretation to deliver the end product.

Results

The roof was delivered with our scope of work on time.  As required we delivered what was asked of us with all complications. Our architect was very pleased with our end results and as a business, we would very much like to work with him again.
